A valuable quote from the movie Spring Breakdown I saw on Lifetime today starring Parker Posey, Amy Poehler, Rachel Dratch, Amber Tamblyn, and Jane Lynch (and how could I leave out, since she’s on the DVD cover, Kristin Cavallari). Other true and helpful statements from this cinematic masterpiece:
“You know what safe sex is? Dating men who are gay,” or “Everyone knows you can’t spell talent without T-N-A.”
Usually I turn the dial on Lifetime, but due to the cast, I stayed on the couch to see what it was all about. And I can’t say that I regret it, because to be honest, it was kind of hilarious. Sort of like the chick version of The Hangover. Overall, I’d say this movie was a success. A legit way to spend my one day off a week, sitting in front of the tube.
Summary: Basically, three nerdy 30-something friends trade in their tix to the Women’s Music Festival for a trip to spring break in South Padre (Island, Texas) in an attempt to regain their lost college days as geeks, but end up discovering they are just fine the way they are. Awww, ok. Life lessons were learned. Whatever. It’s a must rent for fans of “Jersey Shore.”
