I’d have to say that besides Luxirare, Park & Cube is one of the best DIY-ers on the blogosphere. That said, here is one of my favorite DIY projects by P&C, inspired by the Alexander Wang ripped chain denim shorts from Fall ’08– which are perfect for Summer ’09.
I’m selling some of my own pieces on eBay– ones that I loved when I purchased them, but just never found the right occasions to wear– so I might as well pass them off to another good owner who can make better use. Check out the blazer (pictured above), and other pieces after the jump.
The Alexander Wang Spring sample sale is this weekend– and I’m literally having to use every ounce of self-restraint to not go and drop an unnecessary wad of cash that I don’t have. That said, I’ll settle for a summer-appropriate Wang-inspired DIY project.

Once in a blue moon, a dress comes along that makes your brain implode a little. You just look at it and suddenly things all start to go fuzzy. Currently, the mind-melting piece is the Alexander Wang Stretch Netting Embroidered Dress. Reports say that it sold out within minutes of being posted on Net-a-Porter. So if the almost $1000 price tag wasn’t enough to stop me from owning it, all the fashion whores armed with AmExs and manicured claws poised on the “Confirm Purchase” button were there to stop me from achieving a dream. And besides the gaping hole in my closet, I have to be constantly reminded by the media of how ah-may-zing it is, because like magic, it manages to look incredible on all the lucky ladies who slip it on. So here you have it, the many reincarnations of the coveted dress of the moment.
