In Gaga We Trust

Despite the fact I have black hair and am part Asian, I was told twice in one week from strangers that I look like Lady Gaga. I didn’t know whether to consider it as a compliment or an insult– especially now that I’ve seen artist Craig Gleason’s Lady Gaga Dollar series where he’s found a striking resemblance between President George Washington and the over-the-top pop singer by painting dollar bills in the likeness of some of her many infamous costumes. I get that she’s a “Fame Monster” and is slowly taking over the world, but I just didn’t expect she’d be as influential as one of our founding fathers just yet. Clearly, I’m mistaken.

For that reason, I guess looking like Lady Gaga isn’t so bad. But if someone tells me I look like George Washington, I’m probably going to have to get plastic surgery.

Hairdo or Don’t? Lady Gaga’s Hair Bow

I’m not a Lady Gaga fan, but I’m kind of intrigued by this ribbon-made-of-hair thing she’s been doing non-stop. Is it cute, or is it too “I think I’m a human Hello Kitty?”
